locate is the software that works behind the scenes to give mapquest some of it's GPS capabilities. I've been telling Ulocate for about 2 years now about a safety issue with their product that to date they have stubbornly refused to fix or even contact me about. It's too bad they've disabled HTML code on this site because I have a web page I created that explains what the problem is, including pictures. The problem mainly has to do with the poor choice of using a dark grey background along with dark black letters on some of the navigation screen. It can make them much more difficult to read during bright sunlight conditions. I've literally had to pull over to the side of the road during rush hour traffic to try to read the screens. It's stupidity to have designed a screen with that kind of a color combination when they know full well people will need to be reading it under harsh sunlight conditions. My advice is that until Ulocate starts listening and responding to their customers about issues like this, avoid the Mapquest Find me product and use a different product whose designers are blessed with a bit more common s
